Debra Yohai Silver-Tone 10-Strand Waterfall Serpentine Necklace

This is a true stunner from Debra Yohai out of New York City. She designed many bold, almost brutalist style fashion jewelry items in the 1980’s. This one is the most beautiful of all the pieces I have seen from her. It’s feels as luxurious when worn as it looks to be. It sits smooth and silky around the neck and brings attention to itself with its serpent like design. It has ten strands of a silver tone metal and even though it bears no purity marks, it certainly looks like sterling, especially after I cleaned the tarnish from it and polished it up. It’s quite sexy and eye catching to be sure. The shortest strand sits at about 10” from the clasp, while the longest strand sits at about 16-17” from it.


Yohai’s pieces are hard to come by, and this one truly takes the cake for its bold beauty. The clasp is marked with her signature artist mark. See the numerous pictures for more detail.
